These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the StayPut platform operated by StayPut Labs, LLC ("StayPut," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using StayPut, you agree to these Terms.
StayPut is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The platform provides informational tools for tracking procedural obligations, organizing documents, and managing case timelines. The information presented by StayPut — including procedural states, obligation deadlines, and decision options — is based on published legal frameworks but does not constitute legal advice. The Service
StayPut provides a case management platform for parents and professionals involved in special education proceedings. The platform includes obligation tracking, document management, communication logging, and timeline generation powered by a deterministic rule engine based on applicable legal frameworks.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at albert@stayputapp.com.
Your Data
You retain ownership of all case data you enter into StayPut, including documents, communications, obligations, people, and timeline events. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the service to you.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use StayPut to violate any applicable law or regulation, upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the security of the platform, impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, or use the platform in any way that could harm other users or the service.
Disclaimer of Warranties
StayPut is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information provided by the platform is complete, accurate, or current. Procedural deadlines and obligations displayed by StayPut are derived from published legal frameworks and should be independently verified.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StayPut Labs, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to missed deadlines, incorrect procedural guidance, or data loss.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of StayPut after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Termination
You may stop using StayPut and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
