Privacy Policy

Effective: April 25, 2026

StayPut Labs, LLC ("StayPut," "we," "us," or "our") operates the StayPut platform at app.stayputapp.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture as provided by Google. When you use StayPut, we store the case data you enter — including documents, communications, obligations, people, and timeline events. This data is entered by you and belongs to you.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the StayPut service. Your case data is used to power the features you interact with — obligation tracking, document management, timeline generation, and procedural state derivation. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or case data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with row-level security policies ensuring that only you can access your own case data. Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with encrypted sessions. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate StayPut: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (application hosting), Resend (transactional email delivery), and Google (OAuth sign-in). Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing its handling of data.

Your Rights

You can access, export, or delete your case data at any time through the StayPut interface. You can delete your account by contacting us. When you delete a case, all associated documents, communications, obligations, and people records are permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

StayPut is designed for use by parents and professionals managing special education proceedings on behalf of children. The service is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
